April’s LLP event marked the 1-year birthday of this ministry.  You can’t have a birthday party without clean clothes and a birthday cake, right?  It has been a blessing to see God’s hand in this ministry throughout the past year.

LLP Irving started out with 4-5 volunteers and providing $250 worth of laundry to the community to now 8-12 volunteers and providing almost $1000 worth of laundry each month.  We had many to serve the community outside the walls of Amigo Laundramat, such as providing meals to the hurting, praying with them, and going to lunch with them.

This month’s event was a blast.  We had people waiting for us ready to get their laundry going before we even arrived to set up.

We had a special surprise for the community’s lil ones to celebrate our 1-year birthday.  We put together goodie bags for them that contained coloring books about our Lord and Savior, crayons, and a cross necklace.  Our children had the privilege of handing them out:

Thank you all for making our first year a successful one.  We are blessed to be in a ministry where we can help and serve others, build relationships and spread the Good News.  We are excited to see what Year 2 brings!
